Sushi is one of Japan’s greatest imports, and that’s saying something when we’re talking about the country which brought the world Honda sports cars, Nintendo and Godzilla. These parcels of vinegared rice continue to grow in popularity outside of their homeland so we’ve rounded up three of the best places in Liverpool to get your sushi on.
Etsu

A trip to Etsu in search of sushi promises to tick all of the boxes on the authenticity checklist, from its contemporary Asian décor to the traditional manner in which its food is served. Diners will be presented with delicately rolled parcels that come with a pinch of pickled ginger, a dollop of fresh wasabi and a miniature teapot filled with soy sauce on the side.

Miyagi

Miyagi, which has branches on Bold Street and Allerton Road, brings together several cultures under one roof with a menu described as ‘Japanese soul food meets ghetto Asian’. The said menu includes sushi platters loaded up with a choice of the usual suspects, from California rolls to morsels of beef wrapped up in a packaging of rice and seaweed.
