Popular city centre restaurant Etsu has revealed significant expansion plans almost 11 years after opening.
The authentic Japanese eatery on the corner of The Strand and Brunswick Street will temporarily close later this week as work gets underway.
Announcing the news on social media, Etsu says the project will increase capacity, provide a bigger bar area and allow it to sell Japanese related goods including fresh food, drinks and crockery.
As part of the project’s first phase, the restaurant will temporarily expand into the former twentyfive bar next door whilst plans are finalised for the wider project.
Etsu boasts a traditional Japanese menu which includes sushi, bento boxes, Donburi rice bowl dishes and a selection of Yakimono (grilled food) options.
