American fast food chain Taco Bell looks set to open its first Liverpool restaurant on Bold Street.
The Mexican-inspired eatery, which serves a range of tacos, quesadillas and nachos, has applied to Liverpool City Council for a license to operate at 8 Bold Street.
The Ropewalks building is the former home of lingerie store Bravissimo which relocated to a new unit in Liverpool ONE last year.
The UK was the first European country to get its own Taco Bell, when in 1986 a location was launched on London’s Coventry Street.
There are now 17 Taco Bell’s here in the UK, the nearest to Liverpool being a branch in Manchester’s Arndale which opened in 2011.
Taco Bell refused to officially confirm the new Bold Street restaurant but did tell Your Move: “Keep your eyes peeled open for a few more Taco Bell’s popping up around England in the near future”.
