A new animation has been released which gives shoppers and residents the chance to grab a special glimpse of the new Liverpool Shopping Park.
Construction is well underway on the new shopping complex at Edge Lane which will include 41 stores and create more than 3,000 jobs when it opens at the end of 2017.
The two-minute animation shows the scale of regeneration at the former Edge Lane Retail Park and how it will be transformed into a new fashion and leisure destination.
The short animation sweeps over the existing McDonalds drive-thru and Frankie & Bennie’s which mark the entrance to the site, to reveal a range of retail and leisure units arranged in a horseshoe shape.
David Lyons, group chief executive of The Derwent Group, the developer behind Liverpool Shopping Park, says: “We want to give local residents and shoppers the best understanding of what the new shopping park will look like and to get them excited for its opening next year.
“This animation gives a real sense of the scale of this project and just how transformative the end result will be.
“We have worked closely with AEW Architects to realise our vision for Liverpool Shopping Park and design a striking and spacious scheme that we hope local people will be proud of.”
Nigel Machin, director of AEW Architects, adds: “AEW Architects are delighted to be involved in this retail development, AEW have been working with The Derwent Group on this project for many years and we are thrilled to see it finally coming out of the ground.”
