Stockport indie-pop quintet Blossoms roll into the Olympia this March. Tipped for great things in the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, the band’s atmospheric tunes such as ‘Charlemagne’ and ‘Blown Rose’ have seen them build up a considerable following. After supporting The Stone Roses and playing a series of festivals last year, excitement is building for Blossoms’ latest run of gigs. Tickets cost £17.50.

This irresistible musical won the Olivier Award in 2015 and continues to thrill audiences. Set in the 1960s against a backdrop of seismic change, the story examines the formative years of legendary band The Kinks. Famous hits including ‘You Really Got Me’ and ‘All Day and All of the Night’ punctuate a tale of success, grief and sibling rivalry. Tickets are £12 – £65.

In a sequence of performances tackling mental health issues, young creatives from 21 Liverpool schools and youth organisations will leave you laughing, crying and ultimately inspired. Taking place during Children’s Mental Health Week and following on from the success of last year’s festival, this programme of original live routines and films is based around the subject of ‘Mental Health and the Rights of the Child’. Tickets cost £6.

Hotly anticipated by Disney fans and featuring an all-star cast, this updated family classic is set to charm. After being imprisoned in an enchanted castle, a fearful Belle (played by Harry Potter star Emma Watson) begins to see beyond the beastly exterior of her captor. This PG-rated fresh take on the romantic fantasy includes the famed original music by Howard Ashman.

1-12 March, Make Liverpool
In its landmark 25th year LEAP Dance Festival brings you a stellar line-up boasting dancers and choreographers of international renown. Organiser Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI) is determined to deliver its boldest and most exciting programme yet. A pop-up festival hub at Make Liverpool will house workshops, exhibitions and a dance theatre displaying challenging and rousing productions. Festival passes are £90 but tickets for individual performances are also available.

Liverpool will play host to a celebration of all things vegan in the splendour of its landmark St George’s Hall. This LABL (Live a Better Life) event blends together talks, demonstrations and more than 120 stalls where you can learn about healthy, ethical and low impact living. With hot and cold food available throughout the day the multi-themed fair promises to broaden your horizons. Admission is £2 and children under five can go for free.

Unconquered boxing icon Floyd Mayweather hits Liverpool this March to answer your questions. In an evening hosted by Sky Sports’ Johnny Nelson, the 15-time world champion will discuss his illustrious career and take part in a Q&A session with fans. In addition, VIP packages will provide the chance to get up close and personal with the man many consider to be the best pound-for-pound fighter of all time. Tickets from £50.
