Marty MacDonald’s Toy Machine
20 February – Floral Pavilion
A new show from the team behind ‘Marty MacDonald’s Farm’, featuring the voice of CBeebies’ Justin Fletcher (AKA Mr Tumble) as Pongo the Pig. This musical adventure, suitable for two to seven-year-olds, allows the audience to help save the day when the machine making all of the toys in the world stops working. Tickets are £14 and audience members can meet the cast after the show (Justin Fletcher does not appear in person).
The Twits
21-25 February – Liverpool Playhouse
Roald Dahl favourite ‘The Twits’ is brought to life in this stage adaptation directed by Max Webster. The Twits are the most spiteful and revolting couple you could ever meet, playing wicked tricks on each other, badly treating the muggle-wump monkeys and making pigeon pie. But the monkeys have a plan. This childhood classic makes an entertaining watch for children aged six and above. Tickets are priced £10-£30.
Chinese New Year
25-26 February – Lady Lever Art Gallery
Celebrate the Year of the Rooster with crafts and stories for all the family. Storytelling sessions will be held at 11.30am and 12.30pm for family members of all ages, and the gallery in picturesque Port Sunlight will teach little ones under the age of 10 how to make traditional paper lanterns from 1-4pm. Parades and performances will also take place across the weekend.

The Bee’s Knees
12 March – Merseyside Maritime Museum
The kids will be buzzing with excitement as they get busy with bee-related crafts. Learn more about the important role bees play in our food production. This is a free drop-in event between 1-4pm with no need for participants to book.
British Science Week
18 March – World Museum
Change the world by getting involved with scientific experiments and ground-breaking research, and find out all about the exciting new discoveries scientists from the University of Liverpool are making as part of the museum’s Meet the Scientists programme. A line-up of free drop-in events will take place during the week at the city centre museum.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
30-31 March – Epstein Theatre
Have a roaring time at the theatre with a teaguzzling tiger as this major production rolls into Liverpool during its nationwide tour. The Olivier Award nominated production, which enjoyed success in the West End, opens for a two-day run at the city’s Epstein Theatre. This interactive musical play is the perfect treat for all family members aged three and above. Tickets are £13.50 each.
