A Liverpool-based markets company has pledged its support to homelessness charity The Whitechapel Centre.

Skylark & Wren Events is holding two festive markets at St James’ Church Hall in Woolton Village featuring gifts, homewares, Christmas cards, original artwork, jewellery and handcrafted items.

Both markets, which coincide with the Woolton Farmer’s Markets, will support The Whitechapel Centre with a goods donation point and collection tins.

Useful items they are looking for include crockery, new electricals, clothing, new toiletries, non-perishable food items, books, DVDs and toys.

The Skylark & Wren Festive Markets take place on Saturday 12 November and Saturday 10 December between 10am-2pm.

Over 100 people recently attended The Whitechapel Centre’s annual sleepout to raise money for homeless people which took place in the grounds of Our Lady and Saint Nicholas Church last week (14 October).
