Work underway on new VIP bar at Echo Arena Liverpool

Construction work has begun on a new luxury VIP bar at Echo Arena Liverpool, set to open next summer.

Up to 150 visitors will be able to enjoy a range of food and drink before, during and after shows at the new venue which will offer views across the city’s waterfront.

Housed in a new mezzanine level and bar area inside the arena concourse, hosted table service available will also be available.

The interior of the bar, which has yet to be named, has been designed by 442 Design, the same company which designed the retail and café areas at West Ham United’s new London stadium

Litherland-born Michael Cousins, head of interior design at 442 Design, which is leading the project, says: “We are experienced in designing successful premium areas at other large scale venues and our aim at Echo Arena Liverpool is to create a memorable event for guests.

“We look forward to working with the arena team to make this the most talked about and must see VIP bar in the city.”

The initial phase of the building work will see the construction of the steelwork frame within the arena concourse. The next phase, due in the new year, will create the internal bar with fit out forming the final stage.

Bob Prattey, chief executive of the ACC Liverpool Group, home to BT Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre Liverpool as well as Echo Arena Liverpool, adds: “ The addition of a new indoor high-end bar will enable our guests to treat themselves and enjoy drinks and dining on event nights in luxury surroundings with magnificent views of the river. “
