International Horse Show marks Echo Arena’s 1,000th performance

Echo Arena Liverpool has now hosted 1,000 performances since opening its doors for the first time in 2008.

The waterfront venue, which has welcomed almost 5 million visitors during the last eight years, hit the milestone when the Liverpool International Horse Show took place.

Bob Prattey, chief executive of venue operator The ACC Liverpool Group, says: “It is a fantastic milestone for us to mark our 1,000th entertainment performance at Echo Arena Liverpool.

“We have had an incredible journey since we opened in 2008, hosting leading names in entertainment and welcoming nearly 5 million visitors to a range of fantastic events.”

Nina Barbour, president of the Liverpool International Horse Show, adds: “This was the second time we have held the Liverpool International Horse Show at the arena following the launch of our inaugural show last year. We were delighted to be the 1000th performance and wish the arena team all the best for the next 1,000 performances and beyond.”

Echo Arena Liverpool has played host to a number of high profile events over the years, including the MTV Europe Music Awards, the MOBO Awards, concerts from Sir Paul McCartney and Beyonce, and sporting events the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, the Davis Cup and the Artistic Gymnastics British Championships.
