American-themed pool bar and restaurant, Rack and Dollar, will open its doors in the coming weeks after changing its name from Diablos.
The Berry Street bar, which promised American pool, live sports and eating challenges, was originally Diablos, but has since changed its name amid delays to the opening. It is now set to launch with a host of activities planned including live funk and soul bands playing on Friday nights and food eating challenges.
The bar, which will offer 52 different bourbons, says it will offer food challenges five days a week and offers including unlimited ribs on certain nights.
The venue has dropped plans to create Europe’s first flaming bar but will offer pool tables in half of the venue, with sports beamed from around the world on a number of screens. Cocktails, drinks and food will be served in the other half once its opens its doors at the end of April.
A spokesperson for Rack and Dollar confirmed the venue will open in the next 10 days and says the final pieces of furniture are being delivered as it gets ready for launch.
Rack and Dollar will be the latest new bar to open on a resurgent Berry Street, following the success of Red Door, which opened earlier this year.
