Liverpool’s Bold Street could gain another restaurant under new plans submitted to the council.
Applicant Mansour Djerboua is seeking the go-ahead to transform the Wang Wang supermarket at 49 Bold Street into an eatery.
Mansour runs the Mamos restaurants in Liverpool, with a branch several doors down on Bold Street and another in Rose Lane, but he is yet to reveal what kind of venue he has in mind for the new venture.
Your Move contacted the restaurateur for comment about 49 Bold Street and was told that specifics about the future of the site could be revealed within the coming weeks, providing the council grants planning permission.
The Wang Wang supermarket was offering 50% off its remaining stock this week ahead of its closure today (1 September).
Staff at the store were able to confirm that it is moving to another premises, but did not divulge where the new site is located.
Bold Street has seen an influx of restaurants of late, with Peruvian eatery Chicha, chicken venue Koop and Turkish-themed Elif among its recent additions.
