French patisserie Artisane heading for Bold Street

French patisserie Artisane is set to launch its second store in Liverpool after securing a site on Bold Street.

The French Corner, the company behind the venture, will open the bakery at 84a Bold Street, which was formerly Dr Hermans.

The company launched its first Artisane store on Woolton Road in Childwall back in March and also sells traditional French produce from its bakery in Aintree to clients including Liverpool FC, Chester Racecourse and 60 Hope Street.

Andreas Anastasiou, director of 84a Bold Street agent Tano Properties, says: “Tano Properties are excited to have signed up yet another independent trader for a burgeoning Bold Street.

“We look forward to assisting traditional French patisserie, Artisane, in opening their second outlet in the city – following on from the successful launch of their first premises in Woolton Road earlier this year.

“The RopeWalks is continuing to transform and realise its potential. The resurgence of this bohemian quarter of Liverpool city centre shows no signs of slowing down and we simply cannot wait to have an authentic French patisserie on Bold Street.”

Bold Street has seen several new culinary additions in 2016, including Turkish-themed Elif, Peruvian eatery Chicha and chicken venue Koop.
