An ice bar inspired by a television advertising campaign featuring Jean Claude Van Damme will open in Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool ONE venue Bierkeller will host a Coors Light-sponsored ice bar for 12 weeks from 19 June. The bar will be available to enter for 30-minute sessions and features miniature curling and ice sculptures, as well as a photo area and private bottle bar.

Action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme is currently fronting an advertising campaign for US drinks giant Coors Light, in which he builds an ice bar.

Liverpool ONE has hosted an ice bar before, when the traditional winter Ice Festival brought an ice bar and ski-lodge style venue to Chavasse Park. Ice bars are traditional chilled venues with ice-cladding on the walls, seats and tables made from ice and foil suits for patrons to ensure they stay warm while visiting.

The new venue is priced at £5 per person and will be open between 5am and 12am on Fridays and 12pm to 12am on Saturday and Sundays, according to the venue. The price includes a glass of wine, bottle of Coors Light or a spirit and mixer.
