Chavasse Park in Liverpool ONE will play host to a miniature Olympic Village this summer to tie in with the Olympic Games in Rio.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at running, long jump, triple jump, cycling, table tennis and the Paralympic sport Boccia.
Former and current athletes will be making guest appearances at the miniature Olympic Village to hold training sessions for youngsters and give talks on keeping fit.
Donna Howitt, marketing director at Liverpool ONE, says: “This is a fun, free and engaging way of keeping the kids active this summer.
“The people of Liverpool will be cheering on our Olympians and Paralympians in Brazil later this year and what better way to support them than by giving aspiring young people the chance to try out these sports for themselves.
“This is just one of the many activities we have lined up for the summer. There is lots going on at Liverpool ONE over the next couple of months – the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere with all of the family.”
The miniature Olympic Village is coming to Chavasse Park between 22 July and 4 September.
