The Brink to host the ninth annual candlelight vigil

Liverpool dry bar The Brink is hosting a candlelight vigil later this month in memory of those who have lost their lives to addiction and alcoholism.

Members of the recovery community and the general public will gather at the Parr Street venue for the ninth annual Merseyside Candlelight Vigil and Remembrance Event on 25 November.

The event, held each year by The Brink’s parent charity Action on Addiction, will see friends and family members share personal reflections, readings and testimonies about those they have lost. Hot food and refreshments will be served to attendees.

Carl Bell, general manager of The Brink, says: “Year on year, Action on Addiction’s Merseyside Candlelight Vigil and Remembrance Event brings solace to those who have lost a loved one.

“The ninth annual vigil will see a remembrance rollcall displaying the names of those lost to addiction, followed by a minute’s silence in memory of friends and family members. The evening will draw to a close with music and the releasing of commemorative balloons, whereby guests can write their own messages on the night.”

The remembrance event will take place at The Brink between 7pm and 9pm.
