Work will get underway to build luxury homes in Aintree next month, after Forth Homes acquired land at the area’s renowned British Railwaymen’s North End Social Club (BRNESC) site.
The Merseyside-based developer is preparing to transform the Melling Road space into 12 four-bedroom semi-detached properties, in a project which it says will also help “safeguard” the community social club for the future.
Ahead of the scheme Forth Homes has thanked the committee at the club, known as the Railway Club, and director Ronnie Challinor says: “Forth Homes’ acquisition of the land has provided a cash injection for the British Railwaymen’s Club, which has in turn safeguarded the provision of the community social club and the BRNESC Football Club for the foreseeable future.
“The Forth Homes development, situated just a stone’s throw from the picturesque landscape of the famous Grand National racecourse, will make great use of an otherwise disused and degenerating space and will be an aesthetically pleasing addition to the neighbourhood.”
The development will begin to take shape as Forth Homes continues to seek further development opportunities in and around the North West, and is also said to have “more exciting projects planned”.
