A Liverpool developer says the next couple of years will be “hugely exciting” for Liverpool’s waterfront, after the area was named in the Sunday Times best areas to live.

Daniel Hynd of Neptune Investments, is currently overseeing the new £50m Baltic Triangle housing development at Liverpool’s waterfront which the Sunday Times described as ‘cultured, convenient, commercial and cool’.

Neptune Investment’s new development, Pärla, so-called because it is Scandinavian for ‘pearl’ aims to revolutionise luxury renting in the city centre. As well as looking out over the city’s UNESCO heritage waterfront the development is part of the Baltic Triangle which was also named as one of the most fashionable places to live in The Times.

Hynd says: “The next couple of years will be hugely exciting for Liverpool’s waterfront. The area has already been established as a great part of the city to visit and work, particularly with the new exhibition centre and hotel that will be completed soon.

“The Baltic Triangle is such an exciting part of Liverpool right now too, and with Pärla, we wanted to bring a new lease of life to the area and show why the next big thing for Liverpool will be stylish and affordable living for the city’s residents.”

The £50m scheme aims to bring boutique hotel living to the private renting sector. Pärla will be made up of 324 apartments that will be a mixture of one, two and three bedrooms and incorporate lifestyle features such as smart TVs. The development will also offer residents a hotel-style concierge, underground car parking, a gym and ground floor commercial and leisure spaces.
