Liverpool fundraisers only have until today (1 July) to sign up for a unique night time 100km cycling challenge.
For one night only, the moonlit charity cycle ‘Nightrider’ is coming to the city’s world-famous waterfront, giving over 300 competitors a chance to be a part of the £50,000 raised for several good causes including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
Taking place between 16/17 July 2016, the course consists of two loops, the first takes riders through the Mersey Tunnel and beside highlights along the Wirral Peninsula with the second loop bringing cyclists past other well-known landmarks in Liverpool city centre.
The course starts and finishes at Pier Head in front of the Three Graces, with the first Liverpool Village festival on hand to see competitors off before enjoying a well-earned breakfast to welcome them back.
Gavin Kramer, managing director of the event’s organiser Classic Tours, says: “Liverpool and renowned for its legendary nightlife and we’re excited to be introducing a brand new experience to the city this summer.
“Nightrider will be a unique way to discover Liverpool’s world famous landmarks and hotspots while raising funds for dozens of charities.”
