First home reservations at Radley Park

The first reservations have been secured for a new housing development at Radley Park, St Helens, after the opening of a show home at the site.

Developer St. Modwen Homes has recorded ‘very strong interest’ in the new development with buyers reserving homes during the first phase of construction. Initially 39 homes will be built at the site comprising two-bedroom mews, three-bedroom semi-detached and three and four-bedroom detached properties. Further stages will see a further 122 family homes built.

Nick Whittingham, land director at St. Modwen, says: “The opening of the show home was a fantastic opportunity for potential buyers to find out more about the Radley Park development, which will bring much needed family homes to an area of St Helens that is currently undergoing a great transformation. “We have now had some reservations made at Radley Park and there is very strong interest in the properties.”

The first homes in the scheme were completed for occupation before Christmas and the entire development will be completed by 2018. The homes will be available under the government’s Help to Buy scheme, which allows purchasers to pay a 5% deposit on a home with the help of a 20% loan.
