Music lovers will be able to see more than 100 bands perform at 15 Liverpool venues in return for donations to the city’s homeless, as Hope Fest 2015 is launched.
Having previously taken place on a much smaller scale, Hope Fest will return in 2015 with three times the number of venues used in 2014 and more than 100 bands on the line-up, as a weekend of music is launched to raise funds for charity partners including The Whitechapel Centre, The Basement Advisory Centre and The Big Issue in the North.
The likes of the Bombed Out Church, The Krazyhouse, Studio 2 Parr Street, Bumper, The Brink, The Magnet and the legendary Jacaranda are amongst the venues to have signed up to host music events between 18 and 20 September.
Festival goers can get tickets by donating a ‘Hope Pack’ made up of food and clothing for the city’s homeless instead of the usual money transaction.
According to organiser Anna Grace Henney the 2015 festival is going to be the biggest yet. She says: “Hope Fest is back and bigger than ever. We are expecting over 100 bands and we’ve signed up 15 venues for the first time – all for a good cause.”
The festival is now seeking bands from Liverpool and beyond to play at the festival and has opened submissions until 1 May.
