Poet’s Place on Great Homer Street attracting plenty of interest

“CITY CENTRE LIVING IS GREAT, but it can have its downsides,” says Lee Darwen of developer Caro. “Poet’s Place is one of those ‘best of both worlds’ developments and we’ve been delighted with the public’s reaction.”

Those two worlds are the quick access to the city centre, but with parkland on the door-step, Pier Head views and secure on-site car parking. Not forgetting the convenience of a brand new Sainsbury’s supermarket further up Great Homer Street and the hugely popular Greatie market.

“The photography and walk-through imagery on our website are doing a great job,” adds Lee. Lee says that initial feedback from the public points to this combination of factors being behind the lettings success at Poet’s Place. “People can see it’s actually a quiet area, but with everything they need within a minute or two’s walk or drive. For young couples or people on long contracts in the city, not having to think about buying furnishings and equipment just adds to the appeal.”

The 27 secure underground car parking spaces are being let on a first come, first served basis and the building has key-fob access and monitored CCTV for added security. Each apartment in the attractive sevenstorey brick-built block enjoys a Juliet balcony, so residents can fling open their windows to enjoy their views.

“It takes just two minutes to reach the Pier Head but you can read the clock from here,” adds Lee. “I’d guess that makes it the largest kitchen clock in the UK!”.
