A new eatery will open up in West Derby Village this week, in a bid to help replicate South Liverpool’s vibrant foodie offering.

Allerton resident Isabel Doyle, who has always worked in the catering industry, will launch her new Amo Coffee House venture to the public on Tuesday (6 October).

The new Mill Lane cafe, which is opening in a former wedding dress shop, is Isabel’s first business venture.

Ahead of Amo Coffee House’s opening, she says: “I feel like North Liverpool is lacking in places to go. I’m from West Derby but I live in Allerton, where there are so many places.

“I always knew I wanted to open somewhere myself too.”

Opening six days a week, Amo Coffee House will serve up a selection of drinks similar to those on offer by chain cafes, alongside a food menu of freshly made breakfast and brunch options, sandwiches, soup, a ‘meal of the day’ and cakes, keeping produce “local as much as possible”.

Isobel adds: “My family is part Italian and it’s not an Italian cafe by any means but it’s got Italian influences.”
