A new craft beer bar could be on its way to the Moorfields area of the city, after an application was lodged for a new venue on Dale Street.
Liverpool craft ale company The Dead Craft Beer Company has submitted an application to transform two units at the listed Westminster Chambers building into a first floor and basement bar serving craft beers.
The application promises to retain the bare brick walls – a popular choice with craft beer bars in the city – and ‘tidy up’ the timber floors. A staircase will be added to the basement level and an office will also be installed at the site. The new bar will cover two units of the historic building, which also has apartments in the upper floors.
The team behind The Dead Crafty Beer Company, which was founded in July 2014, has been on fact-finding trips to London to get inspiration for the as-yet-unnamed Liverpool venue, should planning permission be granted.
