Plans to convert a vacant retail unit on the ground floor of Smithdown Road‘s Penny Lane Student Halls into a new restaurant have been revealed.
The applicant behind the venture tells Your Move that the eatery will bring something unique to the area and will be based on a “brand new concept”.
The source was reluctant to reveal specific details about the scheme while it is in the planning stages, but says other sites will be considered if Liverpool City Council rejects the proposals.
Information contained within the planning application suggests the restaurant will operate between 11.30am and 10.30pm during the week, until 11pm on Saturday and 10pm on Sundays.
Penny Lane Student Halls is a new development housing 38 en-suite rooms and an on-site gym which welcomed its first intake of residents this year.
The accommodation is located in close proximity to a number of the area’s most popular bars and restaurants, including TriBeca, Neon Jamon and The Tavern Company.
