A four-month search to find the region’s top homes and construction initiatives is underway as entries for the 2017 RICS Awards, North West have opened up.

The prestigious awards scheme hands out accolades to the land, property, construction and environmental developments, including residential projects, which enrich the community they serve.

Awards will be handed out in the categories of Building Conservation, Commercial property, Community Benefit, Design through Innovation, Infrastructure, Regeneration, Residential, and Tourism & Leisure, and there will be a special Project of the Year title for the development which the judges feel adds the most value to its local area.

Chair of the RICS Awards, North West judging panel, Will Rees, director at Rees Straw Chartered Surveyors in Liverpool says: “This year’s awards was one of our best in terms of the volume of entries which were of an exemplary standard.

“But many outstanding property schemes have recently completed, or are due to complete soon in our region, which fully deserve the recognition that winning an RICS Award can bring. So we hope our 2017 RICS Awards, North West will attract an even greater number of quality nominations.”

Last year, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool claimed Project of the Year and was also honoured in the Community Benefit and Design through Innovation categories.
