Secret Diners Club creates pop-up restaurant in railway arch

Liverpool’s Secret Diners Club hosted its latest event in a disused railway arch in the outskirts of the city centre.

The club, which delivers a meal in a secret location in the city, only tells diners where they will be eating on the day on the event.

The latest event was an Italian-themed night with diners served Monte Delle Vigne wines from Italy alongside a three-course meal featuring delicacies such as octopus risotto, lamb loin and neck and lemon meringue doughnuts.

Guests were not told what the food was until after the meal, while entertainment was provided by singer Frankie Wright and a sound system from Bang & Olufson.

Daniel Heffy, chef and co-founder of Secret Diners’ Club, says: “We are thrilled with how Saturday’s Secret Diners Club went. It was brilliant to unveil our latest pop-up restaurant to diners from across Liverpool and further afield. Our diners were kept in the dark right up until we lifted the shutters and the atmosphere was electric.

“We can’t wait to release details of our next event to diner. Watch this space.”

Secret Diners Club hosts regular events in city centre locations, with pop-up restaurants taking place in unused spaces across the city.
