The team behind the Kazimier Garden on Seel Street has applied for planning permission to keep the popular venue open for another five years.

The Seel Street site is currently approaching the end of its fourth Winter Garden, which held its own festival last October.

An application has now been lodged to extend the temporary planning permission of the venue by a further five years.

The application to Liverpool City Council, made on behalf of the Kazimier by Architectural Emporium Ltd, states that the client would “prefer permanent planning permission” but was advised to “apply to extend the temporary permission until the strategy for the area in general has been clarified”.

It was announced last month that the Kazimier team would launch its latest venture,‘Ompholos’, on 19 May at the new Invisible Wind Factory site before embarking on a national tour.

Based on Regent Road in the city’s docklands, Invisible Wind Factory is significantly larger than the Kazimier’s original home in Wolstenhome Square, which closed on New Year’s Eve last year following a spectacular ‘Captain Kronos’ space themed party.
