Grade II-listed mews expected to draw ‘plenty of interest’ at auction

A vacant Grade II-listed barn conversion dating back to 1661 will go under the hammer in Liverpool this month.

The mews property in Sefton Village is expected to be one of the highlights of Sutton Kersh’s 16 July auction, when it takes place at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool city centre. Benefitting from from central heating, a garage and an open aspect to the rear, the property has a guide price of £220,000 to £240,000.

Cathy Holt, joint head of auctions at Sutton Kersh, says: “This is a unique property close to Maghull town centre, with easy access to the M57 and M58 motorway connection, and the main A59 into Liverpool city centre. I expect there to be plenty of interest.”

Other residential and student investment opportunities set to feature in the 93-lot sale include a three-bedroom semi-detached house on Bowring Park Road with a guide price of £125,000 plus; and a three-storey student investment on St Bride Street, close to university campuses, which is currently let to six students and generates £31,171 per annum. It comes with a £350,000 plus guide.
