An independent Liverpool eatery has started selling unique food and drink products online ahead of the festive season.

Bretta & Co. has now ventured beyond its Heathfield Street bistro and deli in the city centre’s thriving Ropewalks district, and onto the internet to offer its global products such as Lichtenstein wines, for which it features on a select list of stockists around the UK, to gift buyers and Christmas shoppers.

The deli, which has become known for its popular wine tasting evenings, will also be selling produce from makers in Germany, France, Belgium on its newly launched online outlet.

The expansion of the growing business will also make some Liverpool-made products, such as Postcode Honey by local beekeeper Andrew Hubbard, to purchasers away from the city.

Gary Adlen, co-owner of Bretta & Co. says: “The essence of the site is to offer more to our deli customers and provide them with delicious products to explore. Without the restraints of a bricks and mortar shop, we’ve been able to offer even more specialist products and grow our product range.”
