Legacie Developments announces new £200 million Liverpool residential scheme

Legacie Developments is bringing forward an ambitious regeneration scheme on the edge of Liverpool city centre.

The prominent Liverpool developer recently acquired ‘The Gateway’ site on Leeds Street and will deliver 656 one, two and three-bedroom luxury residential apartments across four towers.

The £200 million project will sit within the emerging ‘Northern Quarter’ area which is adjacent to the city’s central business district with impressive views of Liverpool’s waterfront and docklands.

The Leeds Street development will feature a state-of-the-art garden spa, complete with an infrared sauna, swimming pool, ice bath, oxygen chamber, and experience showers. There will also be two gyms, two resident lounges complete with a cinema room, landscaped gardens, a coffee shop and convenience store and other commercial amenities.

Legacie Developments’ proposals will help breathe new life into a site that has stood vacant for several years and forms part of its expansion plan, with several other high-profile projects in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, the developer has said The Gateway will help create more than 250 local construction jobs and 25 apprenticeships.

John Morley, CEO of Legacie Developments, says: “We are incredibly excited to be announcing plans for The Gateway today and adding to Legacie’s substantial and growing portfolio of quality residential and commercial developments in the region.

“This will be an impressive and vibrant scheme which extends the reach of the city centre and builds a community comparable to what we are delivering at Parliament Square. This site has lay vacant for far too long, and I am pleased that we have stepped forward with a scheme that will be a catalyst for further regeneration, provide an economic boost and deliver something the city can be proud of.”

International sales agent, RWinvest, has once again partnered with Legacie Developments to promote the scheme.

Michael Gledhill, director at RWinvest, adds: “The Gateway will be a stunning addition to Liverpool’s buoyant housing offer. With world-class facilities on-site, it will form a key part of the emerging Northern Quarter and help attract further investment as we continue to see huge demand for luxury living in the city.

“We are looking forward to working with our partners to bring this scheme to life.”
