A Manchester-based building firm has been appointed to deliver a £7.5 million luxury retirement development in Southport.
Bardsley Construction has been chosen by Gladman Care Homes to build 55 apartments with care and communal facilities on Alexandra Road.
The 6,225 sq metre development consists of a four-storey brick building with timber roof, residents’ lounges and dining facilities, landscaping and car parking.
Construction of the scheme is due to start in December 2017 with completion planned for March 2019.
Ged Rooney, procurement director, Bardsley Construction, says: “The award of this valued contract by Gladman Care Homes is further evidence of Bardsley reaping the rewards of its hard-earned reputation for the successful delivery of specialist care facilities in the North West and Yorkshire.”
Karen Gladman, director and owner of the Gladman Group, adds: “We are delighted to be partnering with Bardsley Construction on our new development of retirement living apartments in Southport and look forward to forming a great working relationship with them in the future.”
