Maghull residents invited to share views on plans for new Prospect Homes development

Maghull residents are being invited to comment on proposals for 103 new homes.

Liverpool-headquartered housebuilder Prospect Homes has launched a consultation website outlining the early plans, including proposed public open space and sustainability measures for the development.

Feedback gathered through the site will play an important role in refining the proposals before they are submitted to Sefton Council.

The emerging proposals for the Maghull site include 103 new homes in a mix of types and sizes, alongside new public open space, a children’s play area and an “ecology enhancement area”.

The plans also incorporate sustainable drainage features, new landscaping and planting, and a biodiversity net gain above the minimum 10% required for new development.

Michael Orgill, managing director at Prospect Homes, says: “We’re inviting the local community to share their views on our new development in Maghull so we can then use any feedback to shape our proposals.

“The development is close to local shops and services and also public transport links and every home will benefit from electric vehicle charging infrastructure and solar panels, with car parking and associated infrastructure included throughout the scheme.”

The site is located next to the southern boundary of Maghull, bordered by Dover’s Brook and Melling Brook, with Aldi and Northway to the south, making it a well‑connected and accessible location for future residents. Access to the development is proposed from the existing Aldi access road.
