Up to 400 new homes could be built on the former Alder Hey Hospital site under new plans.
Proposals submitted to Liverpool City Council also include the creation of over 25,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space alongside possible leisure facilities.
The plans include more than three acres of open space with a minimum of 30 car parking spaces for use by visitors to Ronald McDonald House.
The new £237 million Alder Hey Hospital, ‘Alder Hey in the Park’, opened last year and is thought to be Europe’s first children’s hospital built in a park.
The applicant Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust has been approached for comment.
