Sneak peek at stunning Amazing Graces projections for Three Queens visit

Liverpool City Council has released a sneak peek at the stunning projections set to be beamed onto the city’s iconic Three Graces during the visit of Cunard’s Three Queens this weekend.

The video, which shows spectacular jellyfish projections being beamed onto the Port of Liverpool Building, shows what visitors can expect from the ‘Amazing Graces’ installation during the Bank Holiday weekend.

The state-of-the-art projections will first be seen at 10pm on Saturday 23 May, and again at 10pm on Sunday 24 May and 10pm on Monday 25 May. Curated by The Colour Project, it will feature striking images including a Sea of Faces made up of the Liverpool public.

The projections will also feature images from Cunard’s history and organisers have promised ‘a tantalising tale with a triumphant climax’. The project has been designed to coincide with the Three Queens’ visit to Liverpool, when Cunard liners, the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will arrive on the river at the same time on Monday 25 May.

Amazing Graces will mark the beginning of the One Magnificent City festival, which includes events between now and July and will culminate in a waterfront festival curated by renowned designer Wayne Hemingway on 4-5 July.
