92 Degrees Coffee, the city’s first roastery and coffee shop, is celebrating Record Store Day in Liverpool with live DJs and a pop-up record shop.

The Hardman Street venue, which opened its doors in the former Blind School building later last year, has invited a number of the city’s DJs to perform at the shop, with a chance to buy their records from between 12pm and 7pm on Saturday 18 April.

The coffee shop has teamed up with Myrtle Street bar and restaurant Kabinett for an after party from 8pm, where DJs will play soul, rap, Latin, rock, funk and electronica.

Record Store Day has become a national phenomenon in the UK, with many stores selling vinyl holding events and sales to encourage buyers of the resurgent format. Independent artists release limited edition vinyl and CDs, as well as a host of promotional products, as part of the annual celebration.

Dig Vinyl 

Bold Street, L1

The Bold Street record shop, Dig Vinyl, will host post-punk pop legend Adam Ant from 2pm. The singer is performing a gig at the Arts Club but will pop in to Dig Vinyl for a signing session. He will be celebrating a reissuing a vinyl of his debut hit ‘Dirk Wears White Sox’. Meanwhile, unique Record Store Day releases and merchandise have been stocked and there will be 10% off non-Record Store Day releases.

3b Records

Slater Street, L1

Slater Street venue, 3b Records, will be taking part in Record Store Day with a number of RSDUK releases and offers, alongside its usual mix of records in-store.

Probe Records

School Lane, L1

Nestled in the Bluecoat building, Probe Records is a Liverpool institution and will participate in Record Store Day. Head down to the compact shop for a look at a fantastic selection of vinyl from a host of different genres.

The Jacaranda

Slater Street, L1

The Beatles-influenced music venue has been reborn and is better than ever. Its site on Slater Street will be host to a vinyl record sale, along with the usual tasty drinks and free jukebox, making this one of the best places to spend Record Store Day in the city.

Bombed Out Church Vintage Fair

St Luke’s Church, L1

The Bombed Out Church is hosting a free-to-enter craft and vintage fair on Sunday 19 April. Along with a selection of fashion, craft and art products, it will also have a healthy vinyl selection for those who believe one day is never enough to celebrate all things vinyl. The fair runs from 11am to 5pm.
