SKAUS prepares to pop up around the city

Pop-up dining venture SKAUS is getting ready to host its first foodie events in April.

Established by Dan Cameron and Josh Lundon, who have 16 years of hospitality experience between them, the concept promises Nordic and Scandinavian inspired dishes made solely from British produce.

Fittingly, SKAUS will launch at Liverpool’s Scandi-style venue HUS with its first pop-up dining experience on 6 April, before heading into South Liverpool for the first time on 20 April with SKAUS Pop-Up in The Barn at Allerton Road eatery Three Piggies.

Function room plans for South Liverpool pub

South Liverpool’s Dovedale Towers is looking to create a new bar, function room and toilets in the building’s upper floor.

The 60 Penny Lane establishment has applied to Liverpool City Council for planning permission to refurbish the currently disused rooms above the pub.

According to the planning application, the rooms would require cosmetic and decorative work and would enable the venue to hold private functions.

Opening date confirmed for Bold Street eatery

Bold Street’s new Vincent Asian Kitchen will open its doors next month, the team behind it has confirmed.

A soft launch of the restaurant, which will explore the flavours of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, is lined up to take place between 11am and 3pm on 12-13 April.

The eatery, which will serve up bowls of Asian cuisine free from wheat, gluten and dairy, will then fully open on 14 April.

The Ropewalks addition is the latest Vincent venture for the expanding company, which also has a Southport hotel and The Vincent Café and Cocktail Bar in Liverpool’s Exchange Flags.

New hotels in the city are also in the pipeline.
