House prices in and around the L19 district of Liverpool have skyrocketed over the last two decades because of the diversity the area offers, according to a Liverpool property expert.
Sutton Kersh director Alex Dixon has noted that properties in locations such as Allerton and Garston experienced “sustained growth” during the period in question.
He tells Your Move: “I believe the L19 area has experienced sustained growth in values due to its diverse range of property types and styles and diverse demographic profile.
“Within a short distance from each other you can purchase a small turn of the century terrace and a detached period villa in a private waterfront park.”
Alex‘s comments follow the release of the latest Land Registry figures, which indicate that properties in Allerton have risen in value by 548% in the last 20 years – from £43,000 in 1995 to £278,495 in 2015.
Meanwhile, average house prices near Garston have increased by 441%, from £23,000 to £124,495, during the same period.
Alex also predicts that property value in these areas will see further growth going forward.
He adds: “Coupled with an excellent range of amenities supporting the area including popular schools, beautiful parks and comprehensive public transport links, we see further growth in respect of popularity and values supporting this wonderful postal district.”
