The first line-up announcement for this year’s Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia has been made.
Super Furry Animals and The Horrors will headline the two-day festival, when it returns to the city’s Baltic Triangle for the fourth time in September.
Taking place between 23-24 September in Camp and Furnace, Blade Factory and District, organisers say more acts are still to be announced.
The unique festival has become a cornerstone in Liverpool’s musical calendar, having been named Best Small Festival at last year’s NME awards.
This year, Tokyo-based label Guruguru Brain will present Narrow Road to the Deep Mind, a curation of psychedelia from across the Asian underground, while Nawksh and Prairie WWWW will play alongside a host of visual and audio surprises.
Liverpool garage troupe The Stairs will be joined by Demdike Stare, as well as Dungen, Cavern of Anti-Matter and Silver Apples.
