Ten new affordable homes are currently taking shape on Picton Road in Wavertree, and will be made available through Shared Ownership.

The four two-bedroom and six three-bedroom properties, designed by Eden Building Design, are being developed by Riverside Home Ownership and are expected to attract first time buyers when they are brought to the market priced at £27,500 for a 25% share.

The homes being built for Shared Ownership availability are part of a wider development by Riverside housing association, which will also offer 100 homes to rent.

With work well underway, the development is set to open to potential buyers in July, when Riverside Home Ownership will be on hand to offer further information and purchasing options for the houses. The Shared Ownership homes are then due for completion in November, with the rented properties on a separate part of the site scheduled to become available in 2016.
