New events pavilion planned for Aigburth People’s Hall

Construction of a new events pavilion at Aigburth People’s Hall (APH) is expected to begin this summer.

The new space, which will connect to the existing hall, will feature a stone-clad exterior and exposed Glulam (glued laminated timber) beams internally.

Liverpool-based Baltik Architecture is currently progressing construction drawings for the pavilion, which is being designed to accommodate weddings, christenings and birthday celebrations.

The new events space is in addition to the four outdoor padel courts proposed for the former bowling green to the rear of APH.

The plans also include a new pedestrian entrance providing direct access to the courts from Mossley Hill Drive, adjacent to Sefton Park.

If the proposed development receives planning approval, APH Padel Club will invite a limited number of players to become ‘Founding Members’, forming the initial group who will help “establish the club and shape the future of padel at Aigburth People’s Hall”.

Those interested in the new courts can sign up to the APH Padel Club mailing list at: www.aigburthpeopleshall.co.uk/register/
