Indie rockers The Vaccines will join Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian as the third headliner at this year’s Sound City festival.

The band is the latest high profile act to join the bill at the 22-24 May event, which will take place at its new Bramley Moore Dock site for the first time.

A host of other acts have also been revealed in the latest announcement including Sean Lennon’s The Ghost of a Sabre Toothed Tiger, former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, Roni Size Reprazent and, following his appearance as a keynote speaker at last year’s Sound City conference, Sonic Youth legend Thurston Moore will return for a live performance with The Thurston Moore Band.
