The first ever Albert Dock Rum Festival will take place on 7 and 8 March, as rum specialists at the The Smuggler’s Cove restaurant celebrate the Caribbean drink.

Albert Dock Rum Festival tickets have gone on sale for the first two-day event, which includes samples of rum from the bar’s collection. The festival also includes an hour with a rum specialist to talk drinkers through their selections.

A live Caribbean steel band will provide the music, while food specials from the Caribbean will also be on offer to festival-goers, according to the bar.

Tickets for the ‘Remarkable Rum Fiesta’ cost £20 and the festival has proved popular already, with organisers stating there are ‘limited tickets’ for the two-day event amid strong demand.

Organisers say more information for the festival will be announced soon, but the tickets for the rum tasting events in The Smuggler’s Cove are available now.
